Our Baby Barn offers high-quality care and education for babies aged 3 months to 1 year in a safe, nurturing environment. Learning is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a strong focus on the Prime Areas of Learning: Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development.

 

Babies are encouraged to explore movement through soft play, floor-based activities, and age-appropriate equipment, supporting early physical skills, confidence, and independence. Sensory and messy play, including sand and play dough, alongside two daily planned tuff tray activities, support early cognitive development and individual interests.

 

Warm, responsive interactions with familiar adults promote early communication, secure attachments, and emotional wellbeing. Babies are supported to develop independence through self-feeding, peer interaction, and making simple choices.

 

We maintain a high staffing ratio of 1:3, with enhanced 1:1 support during settling-in. All staff hold Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 Food Hygiene certificates. Parents receive daily updates via the Parent Zone App and are invited to termly progress reviews.The Baby Barn is fully equipped with a dedicated milk kitchen, private changing facilities, and CCTV to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
